Let’s take a look at the 3 major regulatory changes coming into effect in the EU:
1. Adding Of Countries That Require Declaration
Starting in January 2021, Customs Declarations will be required for EU-GB-EU shipments. This will affect all shipments from the European Union to Great Britain and from Great Britain to the European Union.
What can you do?
In order to smoothly pass the transition period, the bill of lading and commercial invoice of all shipments must provide a complete and correct description of the items, including:
- Address and contact information of shipper, exporter, recipient and registered importer
- Cargo value, freight and insurance cost (refer to Incoterm)
- Goods item, detailed description of goods item, HS code and country of origin
- Incoterms, weight and quantity
- Multiple appliances connected to the same breaker.
- Flickering and dimming lights when using large appliances.
- An outdated panel rated at less than 200 amps.
